Hi all
After a few years of non GS bikes I've decided enough is enough and ordered a metallic blue GSA :)
Having started looking through the forums it seems same issues with corrosion etc. but that aside, brand new bike ordered what has everyone decided as 'must have' options from the off and I take it ACF50'd to death on purchase?

Thanks all :clap off to tell the wife what I've ordered :augie

Oops, have found a thread which has asked the same thing..... Apologies. Has anyone gone to retro fit the vario panniers and back box to the new GSA or just gone for the standard panniers?

A wise choice, as I ordered a blue GSA on Friday.:thumb

I'll fit a fender extender and mudsling on mine, to protect the finish, a Nav V for trips, a full Akra and gear assist pro for the hooligan in me, and keyless go as I like gadgets.:D

Re panniers, I've not decided yet, as the BMW softbags are fine for up to two weeks on the bike, so I'll have a think, as I can probably get by without panniers.

I had the vario panniers on my gs and I have the aluminium ones on my blue GSA (the best colour). The vario panniers are not only quite a bit smaller inside but you can't easily strap stuff on top of them. Having said that, if you are touring one up the vario panniers are probably big enough but two up the aluminium panniers make sense.

I agree with Nutty, the BMW softbag is cavernous, just not as secure.
