I will shortly be in the market for a hopefully new GSA with premium pack, list price is £11500

If you've bought a new GSA in the last few months-

What spec was it?
What price did you pay/how much discount did you get off list?
Which dealer did you buy from?

I paid £12000 for the same spec 3 weeks ago and I got a system 6 lid at cost price too.

Yeah but why does it have a couple of typewriter cases fixed on the rear end :nenau

when you put that into context thats a lot of bike, if i read the advert correctly you can take off the panniers on the bike and put the brand new still in the box aluminium ones on it, nice bike :thumb2 and save £4000, that with interest is a big saving

You didn't read the ad correctly :blast its only the rails it comes with

Too high mileage anyway for me

Nearly New

I got a second hand 09 GSA with 425 miles on the clock with the following

Dynamic pack
Premium pack
Top box
Panniers ( I know they're thrown in at the mo')
Fitted BMW Garmin Zumo 550
Additional tinted screen

for £11250 from Coopers Tunbridge Wells. For the same package new I was quoted near £13K.

I was chuffed to bits with that deal, especially when they took my 04 GS off me for only £100 less than I paid for it last year!

I got a grand over book for my trade in and £600 off the price plus the free panniers - that was a full spec bike. My tactic was to ask for a basic spec and then get the top spec for the same price

Bloody good deal, which dealer?

I don't see how it is any "saving" at all, as you are getting an old bike with 18,000 miles on the clock, as opposed to a brand new one with a 2 year BMW warranty.

And edited to add, I'm surprised by the "with interest" comment. Are people really still borrowing money to buy things like motorbikes nowadays?

John Clark BMW in Dundee - top dealer, always given a good service

I got my R1200 GS Adventure from Clarkes in Birmingham with the premium adn enduro packages, with the panniers thrown in for free courtesy of BMW UK and paid £11025.00

£12100 for June 09 build GSA with premium, dynamic stuff (ESA, ABS, Info display, etc etc etc). I remember when by 1150GSA just came with a huge bl@@dy tank and a few other bits n' bobs! Anyway £12100 with everything except knobblies (no likey). Came with the free big boxes (no top box required). Also got 1st service included for free, a free bmw tank bag and they fitted my own add ons for free. I was cash buyer, no trade-in and on my 5th GS .......this was the 1st time there was room for serious haggling! ....... changed days indeed!

I ordered a new GSA from Chester Motorradd about 10 days ago.

Did a deal for £10k which included the comfort pack, pannier rails and free panniers.

In total I got £803 of the list price of the deal which is nearly 7.5%. I originally thought deals on BM's were not possible, but I have been surprised.

I went to Southport, Williams Manchester and Chester Motorradd. It was Williams who were desparate to sell the bike at a discount.

I used the Williams price to drive down my local dealer who gave me the test drive and I really wanted to do business with if he would match the price.

I pick it up Saturday.

Looking forard to some fun.

Regards

Chris

And I got mine for

12000 from Bahnstormers, with free 1st service(except for the oil). The bike is a new GSA with Premium and Dynamic packs, Enduro first gear, Free Panniers and the dealer was great...they had no problem dealing with endless silly questions over the phone, changed the headlight to Euro and programmed the computer into Kilometres ( I live in Spain), they picked me up from the station and were just great all round. Free coffee too...
Three weeks old, the bike has now done 5000kms and is just grand -
No issues.
