New GSA price is.....

With all due respect I don't think you understand how a PCP works,

Have a look at what JB does for a living...he's been bending farmers over the kitchen table for finance on their 100k tractors for years :D

If I had to call someone to tell me exactly how a PCP or similar scheme worked, JB would be top of the list :rob

The LE (TE) or whatever they decide to call it already has premium and Dynamic packs fitted! That's what an LE is ! so price is £15295. OTR. plus boxes at a grand is just over 16K.

Nope. Have a look at the BMW site it list premium and dynamic as extras and it has it the price section tbc.

Crazy way to ride bikes, that's more than my fucking mortgage. I'd rather ride a £1500 bought and paid for bike.

Which is why I'm still riding my decade old 1150GS. But I vaguely recollect paying about 9 grand for it back then when I had more spare money. I hope those that want them and can afford them enjoy them. Doesn't make them fools for having a greater disposable income.

I think I'm out at that price

Shame as it was shaping up to be a good bike for my needs

I think it'll be a great bike for those lucky enough to have that sort of cash

:clap:clap

The foolish bit comes in the bike choice, not the ability to pay for it :beerjug:

That's like comparing apples with oranges. The FJR does n't compare to a GS, it's more in the RT market than any other.

That is what the GS has become, a touring bike and no doubt the RT will be more expensive so from a financial point of view the offerings from other manufacturers starts to make sense. Yes the RT and FJR is direct competitors but within the BMW stable the RT and GS/A competes although the person buying it will have different criteria for his motorcycle and reasons for his choice. In the end you buy a GS/A because of its looks and the ability to tour or because it can go off road and carry all your luggage. If buying a new touring bike next year then there is a lot more choice than BMW or Yamaha and for less money unless you have your heart set on a GSA LC.

The top of the range K1600 GTLE is £18K incl complimentary comfort pack, with negotiation opportunities.

The GT is £1K cheaper.

They look like great value :augie

Agreed - now that it is a real touring machine

The GSA WC if the price is £15295 Otr with Premium & Dynamic - LE if that's what they call it + boxes etc then it's going to be well over £16k +, so that's a fair old wedge

Oy! Leave the 1600 GT out of this nonsense. It lacks the 'presence' and round-the-world capability of BMW's premium priced 'Adventure' (with a capital A) motorcycle. Also it lacks considerable 'blingability' and 'farkleness', rendering it of little interest to many 1200 WC GSers. It's reduced pannier space renders it all but useless for soft fruit carrying, their side opening method threatening to spill raspberries all over the car park and the rider's highly polished boots; leading to complaints of 'not fit for purpose' and references to the courts.

The LE doesn't come with premium and dynamic packs they are an extra. Unless the price specifically included the cost of the premium and dynamic.

Nope. I am told by my dealer they are included. He could be wrong and it would not be the first time either!!

Well it either the dealer is wrong for an item that the price hasn't been released yet or the manafacture web site is wrong.

Either way the most difference it's going to make £600

I agree. In his defence I cannot see what the packs add if you look the spec. The same packs on the GS are already fitted to the GSA

I was told the same by my local dealer; he said that the pages on the site, at the moment, are a bit generic and packages will relevant to the XE, not the XL.

I don't understand why the prices aren't on the BMW site, when prices have been announced in Germany.:nenau

I'm going to have to go all the way to the NEC just to see them in the flesh, so I can decide which colour I want! Unless I wait..... I can stretch to the price but I might resist if I think they are priced too high.

At that money, not to mention the weight, is it really a "go anywhere explorer" as claimed, or more and more road oriented (probably the bulk of the market)? I'm not being critical, I'm genuinely curious as to what the general perception is from the faithful.

"go anywhere explorer"....now a long distance touring bike, but people will love the idea of being a "go anywhere explorer" and frankly if that makes them happy then why not.
My WC may end up down tracks etc but for proper offroad I'll use the ktm 200.
