Thanks Leadfarmer, I looked at the GT3 - a great looking helmet but a big hike in the price over the other two. - That link was useful but has only increased the lure of the GT3
I quite like the adventure helmet look but don't want to end up looking like the Master Chief from Halo
Shoei GT and Neotech II helments are currently being heavily discounted with the advent of the next generation just being launched. I doubt many of us might notice the "new and improved" versions being significantly different to wear. From what I've read, the main point has been to get them ECE 22.06 compliant. Claims of the Neotech 3 being "much lighter" turned out to be exaggerated. Neotech 2 was 1.75KG, the 3 is 1.73Kg so sweet all in it.
Worth a look at the new Shark Evo GT line too as well as the now heavily discounted Shark Spartan Carbon. I have one of those and it's one of the most comfortable, well made and lightest helmets I've ever owned. Not as quiet as the Shoei GT or Neotech though.
Thanks Morety, I hadn't thought of the Shark range - quite like some of the Shark Evos, not so sure about the Spartans but helpful suggestions, thank you.
Fully agree with you about whether the new Shoeis are significantly different - the extra in the price is a bit steep when I don't wear a helmet all day every day anymore.
