Serveral months ago, Intaride announced that they would shortly be producing a new, completely wireless bike intercom named the "Liberty". Thats remained in R&D for a while now, I understand they have been redisigning the external helmet pods to make them more appealing.
Anyway, they have now released something which I think will be quite usefull to those of us who have Bluetooth compatible devices, I for one have a combined PDA/phone/MP3/GPS device which would really benefit from this: Intaride Evo. Price seems reasonable at £169 for the hub, including two helmet fittings and power leads etc. The optional Bluetooth chip is another £39.
Im serioulsly thinking of giving them a go - my own Autocom, though excellent for rider to pillion, simply cant handle Bluetooth 1.2 or the four pole connector from my PDA/Phone gizmo. I've got the Starcom Bluetooth module, which works for phone calls but cant support anything more. Ive also tried the new Autocom Pro AVI with their new four pole Smart phone connector whilst in a shop, but that gave poor results, which I think is down to the differences in the phones socket.
The site suggests they are up for sale now, I will try and give them a call tomorrow sometime to see if it will work.
Cheers,
Mike
