A mate picks up his new LC tomorrow, he's found out today he's not getting his panniers and engine bars until he's back in for his 600 mile service ,is this the line taken by most Newley delivered bikes ,if so its piss poor to offer a new range but then can't full fill the extras when a new bike is sold ,and then have to wait for goodies to arrive or maybe its just the dealership he's purchased from :blast

No I think it's most dealers I managed to get varios but no crash bars!

Is waiting an extra 1 - 2 days really that much of a problem?

It was the same for Triumph when they launched the 1200 Explorer

Bikes were going back in for crashbars, heated grips and handguards etc

I was told when I ordered mine that bars were on back order got them about a month later well after first service.

Panniers n Snav were with bike.

Subsequently ordered top box took about a week to arrive.

Price you pay for popular bike, dealer hates it to as your bike has to go back in WS for fitting.

At launch, accessories were thin on the ground, but then there was a flurry of deliveries. Apparently they've sold out again.:blast

I've ordered mine with the engine bars.
But was told that the bars are on back order.
They were open and clear at dick lovatt in Bristol.
They showed me the computer screen that said when they'd be in, and how many they would be getting.
It's a race between the bike and the engine bars ( quick comes in first)
At the moment, the bike is losing.

Engine Bars....................are they really necessary??

It wouldn't stop me enjoying the bike and i doubt I'd pay £300 for a pair anyway

"Computer says No" for luggage :type

Yeah, I like the look of the smaller engine bars - far less intrusive than the ones you could get for my old 1150 - so I decided to go for them instead of cylinder head protectors.

No, it won't stop me enjoying the bike, and yes, the bike may end up going down the road because no - I am not a riding god.
The cylinder head protectors saved the rocker covers a few times on the old 1150.

Not that I actually intend sending the bike down the road, mind.
