New LC RT?

My dealer reckons next March, as previously stated. Got a test ride on the new GS soon, will report on how it feels. Think I'll stick with RT though - simply the best bike I've ever owned!

New RT

Found this image on Facebook looks good to me not to radical a departure from the current model, which in my opinion is a great bike.

Here's another view....not sure how genuine these are, but I hope new version looks something like it.

It looks like Wunderlich have got a heads up for new accessories.

Looks genuine - exhaust and swing arm changed sides like the GS....

Like the look of it and the subtle changes keep the RT image.

Was considering a 90 year anniversary model but have decided to wait for new bike, only thing is they will be pricey to start with.....

I'm not a fan of the RT, but that looks nice:thumby:

Mmm Just done 400 miles on a RT i always find the front steering heavy and dislike the inset mirrors. If the new LC engine is in it I hope they've tuned/geared it down :augie

Cant wait to see the new GSA version....

That's one hell of a leaked video! :D

Looks like it may have a proper satnav mount, big satnav, wonder what it is?

Cheers Cooperman :thumb

Sorry, I don't understand

I hope they've tuned/geared it down. Don't really understand what you are suggesting.

Would you prefer it in a higher or lower state of tune, and why?
Would you prefer it geared to rev it's nuts off even worse than the existing models, or prefer it to have a higher top gear to make long distance cruising more relaxed and economical?

What's more interesting is that it's called R1200GT

My RT is much quicker than my GS MU was thanks to the superior aerodynamics, both overtaking and at high speeds. It also handles much better (especially now I've replaced the crappy BT-021 tyres) thanks to the stiffer suspension and lower centre of gravity.

The only thing I like better about the GS is the styling, which is why I'll probably buy the LC GS next as it should be much quicker than my current RT whilst making me look 10 years younger :thumby:

Can't possibly see why you'd want it tuned/geared down as it feels much more comfortable cruising at speed :nenau

I didn't miss that, and If BMW want to call it a GT I'm not that bothered. I'm just not that convinced BMW would drop RT for GT, especially as I didn't notice it say GT on the bike, did anyone?
