Nice one Tony you will love it mine had a few wet days to start with too but they scrub up well.

Enjoy the bike Tony. I love mine. After a thousand miles a month since I bought it back in May I can honestly say it's the best bike I've owned in 30 years of continuous bike ownership.

Take it easy on those new tyres mind:rob, go easy on the throttle till their scrubbed in.

Lucky sod!!!

Enjoy it and ride safe, mine looks like it'll arrive next Friday via Cannon BMW at Braintree ~ woo hoo!

And, though I'll post separately on the subject, Cannon BMW have been absolutely brilliant to deal with over this, "proper Dealer care" (and particularly having dealt with other M/C Dealers regularly over the last 25 years 25 years+ (where does the time go?).

I've had a BMW S1000RR, a Husqvarna Nuda 900R and now a R1200GSW from them in the last 18 months and they have been nothing short of blinding....

In short I'm very impressed, a really positive experience.

If you want to do a deal, go speak with Adam.

Anyway, enjoy your ride (don't forget 'RAIN' mode).

Yep, 2014 model in white (someone said it's the fastest colour).

Boxes, BMW bars and hopefully an Akra...

Great spec :thumb white is definitely faster less weight than metallic grey !

So first 2014 model I've heard of with a customer we need a review :beerjug:

Well we got home late afternoon after 80 miles.

First impressions - the bike is stunning:thumb:thumb

Engine is superb, gearbox smooth with no nasty changes anywhere in the range:clap. Power right through the range, smooth and vibe free.

Suspension is amazing.

Trying to be as objective as possible bearing in mind I`ve just stepped off a R1200RT the comfort level is outstanding, seat is easily as good as the comfort seat I had on the RT and the screen does a superb job for something so small (compared to RT). 70mph with visor up no probs.
Weather protection good too. Stepping off the RT I was a bit concerned about what I was about to embark on but I have to say the GS is a superioir bike in all respects so far:thumb2
So if any guys with Rt`s are considering the GS then have no fear its a brilliant bike.
Running in at 5000 rpm is a pain but only 500 miles to go and I`m off out shortly to work on reducing that number.:D
