well, i guess i can wait till tomorrow... I'm waiting from end of 2005:rolleyes:

thanks man!

blimey that's a fair while, will update once I get hold of matey... but clients and work really got in the way of doing my stuff today.

I should be a IT consultant and translater, right the tank is as follows

part number 16.300 (I only asked about that one cos it's the one I want, if you want something else your out of luck)

he has units sitting in warehouse now! according to him (but then I have a full size model of the titanic in my garden) they are missing the blender (not sure what that is, think it's the link bit between the oil cooler) These bits should arrive in the next few days....

including german (sales tax, VAT mwst) at 19% the tank and all the bits cost 1,475.00 euro's plus shipping

The matey is called Klaus Pepperl (So mr P from HPN) nice bloke does speak some english but not that much. His email is a waste of time I offered to sort it our for a free tank and some more bits and pieces but he thought I was joking.

If you want to order a tank the best way is send a fax to 00 49 8571 1081, you can mention that your from the forum and that I've (don't say loiq he knows me as Carl from UK) been speaking with him. Won't do any harm and might trigger the suggestion that he wants to get it sorted.

Thanks Carl!

well, i guess i will have to give him a call/email/fax.... i'm looking for 16.301 or 16.302 my bike is blue, and i intend to keep it blue, so there is no need to overpay for CF(though i really like CF parts).

if they ship it overseas the deduct 19% right away(i think...) it sould help somehow with crazy Euro->$ exchange rate.....

well I think they should remove the sales tax but you'll pay that at your end, that's how it worked before when I bought stuff.

I think the fax is the best bet, then followed up by call

best regards

Carl aka loiq

tank

guys is there a possibility of a bulk buy, either way i want to buy the black one but have sent numerous emails since i bought the hp. Loiq, if u can assist in anyway as the go between it would be cool. I, downunder and times and accents dont lend themselves to good communication. Any help appreciated.

Are you sure that it's a HP2 prototype? looks like R1150RR, unless inthe begining they shoved 1200 engine into the old frame(with some mods of course)...

That's R900 or 1150RR, yes, you can see it from the swingarm's having torque arm on the bottom. But the HP2 frame is originated from there. Indeed they say the HPN's "real frame" alone costs about the same as a brand new HP2 bike itself :eek . So I'm guessing BMW made it a bit "cost effective" with reasonable compromises, it needs world's best riders to reach the OEM frame's limit anyway :augie

But the HP2 frame design is coming from the original Dakar BMW R900RR bike (read: monster power cannon):

Beachman,
I'm sending my fax to HPN today when I get a minute will ask what the best way to approach it is.

Will post more later.

tank

hey carl, any news on the tank.
Im in for the HPN 23l Tank BMW HP2 mit allen Anbauteilen, Ölkühlersatz, Tankblenden in Kohlefaser. Bestell-Nr.: 16.300

it's only 07.30 here I know the germans are known for being keen, like rushing into poland and everything. I'll give him till lunch time and then will call him and report in.

I got a response from Klaus while I was away in Sydney last couple of days. In stock is HPN 23l tank BMW HP2 with all attachments, oil cooler set, tank screens in glass fiber paints indigo blue (part number 16.301) and he reckons I can have for 1275.00 Euro + 55.00 Euro to ship to NZ (excludes VAT as we don't have to pay it). Still equates to a tad under NZ$3000 (about 10% of the cost of a new HP2 here). I can live with that, it's the wife that will need to be convinced :nenau

I've not even bothered telling her why cause WW3 when she sees my CC bill it'll be curtains for me for a while anyway.

will update once I get todays sh*t in a manageble pile

strange..... :nenau
Tank with CF bits - 1475Euro(inc vat)
Tank with FG bits - 1275Euro(exc vat) - that means that with vat it's 1517.25Euro??? since when CF parts are cheaper then FG???

am i missing something?:nenau

german sales tax is 19% I think what's FG and CF?

CF - carbon fiber
FG - fiberglass

as far as i understand they have 3 sets:
16.300 - carbonfiber
16.301 - fiberglass painted blue
16.302 - fiberglass not painted

i don't care about the look i need the cheapest one, since i'm going anyway to paint it.

I have to check the translation cos I only want a black tank cos I can't be R's to paint it but I think the translation is wrong...

well that's not very clear cos it says they are made in part of both materials... w*nk will phone the bloke again

as far as i understood(and my German is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay far from being good):

tank is made of some poly-shit, i son't know what is it exactly but it's black in color.
tank has 3 panels: top(kind of original one) , and also 2 small ones left and right.

i think these panels come in 3 forms: CF, FG painted blue, and FG not painted at all. again all the tanks themself are black.

again - i might be wrong....:nenau
