tires

kdt, ive been using the deserts on the hp2 and find them longer lasting than the karoo. That said, the original karoo that came on the bike gave heeps more k's than he old ones. This may have something to do with the lighter weight of the hp2. Im thinking Saharas all round for the hp2 and aiming for 3 rears one front for the trip. At this stage im starting to think it may be better to ride london /sydney as the weather works better this way and the bitter cold wont be a prob.

Am I too late....

Just spotted this thread.

Wouldn't touch this lot with a barge pole, even if I had one.

See my thread under "dealers".

Zero service, zero support, zero promises kept...and I am not exagerating!

Pleasant enough on the phone but then F all happens. I wonder if they are a very small company who simply can't cope.

F me there's a massive box sitting in the living room from HPN, wonder what's in it!

hehehehehehe I've got a great big petrol tank, I've got a great big petrol tank!

(unfortuntaltey no idea how to put it together, but that's minor issue!)

If you hear on the news about a fire bombing at a house in Surrey, it's no need to panic, nothing to do with fundamentalist or the like it'll be me.

There's loads of screws, washers, coloured bits and pieces wonder what they all do:confused:

Oh well got plenty of gaffa tape:augie

No I've screwed it, told the organiser that I'm deferring the race, always the way bit gutted but I think it's safer.

Paid for 3 medicals failed the lot

got an appointment at the specialists end of the week had to get BUPA involved to get a speedy visit in as eye still feels like it popping out.

got the maps been looking at them thanks very much trying to workout where and what they are.... Thanks very much for posting. I'm on holiday as of the 4th so might go on a small trip anyway... not sure yet..

If you do manage to work out which areas the maps cover let me know - I keep meaning to create some sort of index so I can reference file names to countries, or just rename them, just need to find a tuit first.

Good luck with Bupa and remember - instructions are for wooses! :)

Well I've got the filleting knife out and have gutted the the tank off the HP, worked out what most of the bits are for.... but then this happened

The new larger oil cooler has be relocated from where the old one was... and you need to remove the whole front end to get at it. Brilliant! also there's just not enough different screws used on this bike...

I might photograph this whole saga it'll be interesting for anyone who's thinking about removing the tank and or replacing it...

will let you know about the maps... once i've had a break from the krypton factor and the grey matter is working again.

Sounds like a big job

I'd certainly be interested in seeing pics and getting an idea of what it takes to fit this larger tank :thumb

Cheers

AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!

now an angle grinder would be an idea...

I thought HPN included the new oil cooler as their tank either encroaches on the original oil cooler or reduces it's cooling ability...:nenau

I think the old oil cooler space is used by the fuel tank,so hence the new cooler and plumbing.

Now get that slab cutter out,and put the fecking thing on.I can't wait to see what it looks like from the producion batch, and not a gloosy studio shot of one.

What colour is it?:bounce1
