New Posts / F5

So, I want to know what's new here... I go Quick Links > New Posts

Automagically I get http://www.ukgser.com/forums/search.php?searchid=59740 and a nice list of new stuff.

With the 'old' site, if I wanted to update this I just hit F5 (=Refresh), and got a new list... with the new site I just get a refresh of the existing list, cos the searchid is the same. ctrl F5 (=Refresh everything) does the same.

So...
How does the 'New Posts' link generate the search id? Is it a date/time code?
Any chance of a function key to do this?

Just curious really... and the old F5 refresh was dead convenient when the laptops just set there....

On the top left is the 'New Posts' button, with various options available. If you've read all the new posts, just hit the same button again and it'll refresh and update the list.
