New R1200GS Engine Colour

Or powdery/silvery white once the corrosion sets in, then black again once your dealer fits a new engine after a few months....:aidan

Yup !

My bike is spotless after 5000 miles of all kinds of weather . Front spokes have tarnished a bit but nothing else. I dread to think what a GS would look like. The last new GSA I bought came rust free-ie they kindly didn't charge me for the rust it came with out of the crate !! Shocking !

Exactly.:thumb

Some rust, some don't. Same with any brand of bike. I've done over 25k on my LC GS's, and none of them had a spot of corrosion.;)

Here in the US, red and matte blue come with silver motors while the white and triple black come with black motors. I hope BMW doesn't opt to make all their motors black as I prefer the classic silver that BMW's have been since the beginning.
