Lads lads
I was only letting yee know my new gs1250 had been withheld due to brake calipers problems

And we thank you for setting The Fuse Tester off on one.I think he's popped to A and E to have his Motorrad Butt Plug swapped for a new shitcam version....

Just ignore them Paddy. It's quite normal for them to burn the house down over any old shit, every day is like a bar fight in here.

Doesn't matter what the topic is.

You done a 1000% right Paddy, the only thing the moaners are worried about is their PCP value , or th re-sale value, if the brakes fail, they will start a new thread...................:blast

BMW allegedly paid his widow a very large sum of money. Make your own conclusions...

Hopefully a lot more than Boeing will pay out...o hang on, settlements are capped:rolleyes:

And now you’re turning on your fellow gs owners that can’t afford to pay cash for their bike.:blast

What planet are you on?

Normally for me it’s been the dealers not the bikes. The bikes are great...

“Sorry we can’t handover the bike this weekend, it’s a long weekend, and the salesman gone off”

Or on the way to collect it... (phonecall)

“Sorry the bikes not been PDI’d.” On arrival oh there is no problem with the bike it’s ready to collect, BUT the panniers you ordered did not come with locks, you can take them away :blast (not on the bike I can’t)

Oh it won’t be ready for March delivery, even though you ordered it in November, one part was not on the BMW listing, so we could not actually place the order till February....

I could go on....

I can top that.

When I stupidly thought I try my local dealer again and bought a Turban last year, the seat bolt got cross threaded .Obviously my fault but stupid design to need a bloody bolt to remove a seat.
I had fitted a rear rack so the seat needed holding down a bit to get the bolt to bite. I didn’t force it in any way but it somehow cross-threaded.
Anyway, mechanic at dealership who has always been ok said he’d sort it.

Took him about 10 minutes to drill it out,so wrecking the seat in the process and requiring a new seat.

The bill ?

£ 160 !!!! To drill a bolt out !! That included a £25 test ride fee !!

I asked what the hell that meant and he said we always add that.I said that he hadn’t even ridden the bike.Spoke to the boss and told him I wasn’t paying. Will never use them again.Bike was crap anyway. Sold it a few months later. It sat in another dealership for 9 months before it sold again. For less than the part ex price.

A safe one, I would rather hear from Paddy about brake failings, than try to hide it, to keep the value of my bike, life is more important than cash...........:rob

Feckin hell everyone is getting all wound up.
It’s not the first bike that has gotten held up in the showroom.
Didn’t something similar happen with the first iteration of the k1200 and their chocolate cam shafts? I think RTs had another issue that marooned them in the dealership a few years ago.
I have had dealers who are more proactive with issues than others so it may be if there is no mandated stop order on the bikes some dealers let them out.
As long as you get a loaner bike or can keep riding your original bike without damaging the deal I don’t see why everyone is getting all shouty and stabby.

It still amazes me that any bike manufacturers can afford to develop new fancy technologies or manufacturing methodologies considering the relatively small number of units they sell.
A new model car costs billions to design and R&D and they still come out with flaws, faults and shit design choices.
A megacorp like Samsung managed to bring out a phone that went on feckin fire FFS.

Products aren’t perfect. If your not being totally shafted “just smile and wave boys. Smile and wave”

For what ever sad reason, I was watching 'The Life Of Brian' last night on netflix.... said to my Mrs.. its just like being on the GS forum listening to this lot... :)

Or for that matter any premium product. The latest been Samsung foldable phone. It breaks after 2 days :augie Or Boeing, or VW. I had the 2013 GS LC model and it didn't kill me
