My favourite bike of all time. A timeless design.
The trouble with that one is that you could never ride it as it would probably be worth 30% less instantly.

as much as its worth if i could afford it id use it as my daily ride and enjoy it for a few years then sell it,no point buying it to look at and after a few years it use it would never be worth a fortune, kept as it is it will be worth a mint one day.

A mate of mine in Wales has a mint RC30. Wonderful bike. We used to work for the Endurance teams in the 80s and 90s when these were raced. No other bike sounds like one of these.:)

There have been a few of these appearing over the last few years, defo one for my display case when I win the Euro-Millions - I owuld then get a used one for a winter hack / track bike :D

A real genuine classic that will always be worth strong money, they were going at fair money back in the mid - late 90's, I think I missed the boat.

Fabulous bikes!!!

Personally, if I could afford to buy it, I'd ride it. I don't agree with bikes as ornaments, they were built to be ridden.

its £35000
the rc45 is £40000
they were bought from a collector.
they also have a yamaha r7 homologation for £19000, again zero miles.

....and let's not forget the one in Joey's bar :thumb

Had a look at the 891 other items, all the bikes are at various other dealers, seems to be some sort of middleman.

George Whites receiver ? :nenau

Rode one after i'd PDI'd it back in '89 - didn't do much for me - although 70 mph in first was a giggle.

Still got the sales ticket somewhere - was 10,000 pounds

This was the time when the OW01 Yam came out as well.

I preferred the std VFR for the road.

Windsor motorcycles in Aldershot were the reknowned RC30 specialists back then.

I worked at Abingdon motorcycles at the time the RC30 came out, twas the only bike the boss never let me loose on, oddly we did not even put them on as demo's!

Loved the VFR of the era, and back then you could still cane a 600 without topping 150 mph in a few milliseconds.

Bikes like the RC30 are never gonna be great on the road, if I remember rightly the RC was supposed to be geared for about 82 in first, now I know modern superbikes all do that these days, but on a 180BHP bike it is easy, on the 100BHP RC30 I remember owners found them hard work around town, and at least one chap burnt the clutch out.

I would still love to have one for the odd special Sunday, and maybe another in a glass case, but the imitations (nice as they are) just don't have the RC30 magic - which I think is a combination of being the first proper superbike homologation special, having the wonderful V4 soundtrack and the results in its day where it just won everything - not to mention the riders who did that winning.
