Compression on my R100GSPD is about 120lbs each side. The pushrod tube seals are weeping slightly. It has done 95000 kms. If I re ring it and tidy up the head when replacing the seals do you think there will be a noticeable improvement in performance?
Not looking for eye popping power just want to know whether to bring forward the rebuild if the improvement is significant or just keep on riding it until next winter and tackle it then.
Peering in thru the plug hole (makes a change from keyholes
) the bore looks good, the valves have plenty of meat on them and the piston is cleanish. (I think I am beginning to answer my own question
