Can anyone recommend a really good seat for my GSA 2008?
Just come back from North wales to the Treharris and my backside is dead!

Welcome Twinpot.

You could ask in the 1200 section.

Would you like me to move the thread?

Smart arse :D

Yes. Wunderlich.

Last year's euro tour was not fun due to the pain. I'm not a fan of Sargent seats but it was one of them or Wunderlich as far as I was concerned.
This time, 7 hours at a time is not a problem. Rather dear mind and a real whinge that the standard seat is so crappy.
'Spose it depends if your backside is German shaped or US shaped.
Usually find that guys that say the standard seat is fine only ride for an hour max...
Anyway - happy with my seat, not saying that because I feel I have to to justify the expense..!

I have had a replacement seat from this small french company http://www.topsellerie.com near LeMans first on my 1200GS and then on my my 2008 12000GSA and have travelled 20,000km round Europe on very poor roads including Transfargasan Highway and stints of 5 hours and more with little fatigue
Much more comfortable, visually more attractive and €250 collected or plus postage for the 2 pieces
Excellent
Will try to post picture

I think if you go through three straight days of pain it then becomes ok with the standard saddle ! bit of sudocreme needed as well !! :comfort :tigger

Before you go spending a shed load of money, try a sitting on a sheepskin for about a tenner from a market.

Works a treat for me, as I can't do long distance on the standard seat. Also, wearing long legged underpants helps a lot too (i.e. Nike Pro Compression pants).

I can sink a whole tank on the adventure without stopping with the sheepskin, which is ~300 miles.
