New Sena 20s Bluetooth Intercom with FM tuner

That's what I did. Got fed up of waiting for the 20s. UK prices were quite high for a dual pack though (north of £300) so I bought from an American site called perf-moto. It worked out cheaper to buy the 2 main modules and then the 2 clamps I wanted (1 with boom and earphone connection and the other a normal type one for the wife's full face). There didn't seem to be a dual pack available with two different types of clamp so I'd have had to fork out about £300 for a dual set and then bought an additional clamp of the other style.

Total price, including shipping to UK was £229. I meant that I didn't get a charger and everything came in separate packages but for over £100 saving I was happy and I didn't end up with a redundant clamp of the wrong type.

@ daesimps,
did you have to pay duty on the intercoms from USA?
im ready to buy from perf-moto too, they have a sale on so even after postage there only £173 for 2 kits, almoet the price for 1 kit here in the uk.
cheers
will

I didn't have anything further to pay but may have just got lucky. I worked out that even if I'd have had to pay it would still have been cheaper. Delivery was about a week.

Awesome, let's hope I get the same luck. I'm ordering 2 intercoms, but separately as you don't pay certain duty on items under £135 :)
how have you found the units anyway? I'm needing them for a charity ride im doing from UK - NZ so wanting good coms :)

Loving them. Much better than the G4s we had. They've done over 500 miles this weekend bike to bike. Only criticism is the G4s had much better vox as you could alter the sensitivity but with the Senas we've had to disable it due to false activation.

The £135 thing may explain it if that's a per item value. I ordered 2 bases and two separate "replacement" modules so no single item was over about £90.

I paid £300 this morning for a twin Sena SMH10R (fitted) & £400 for a Shoei Neotec at a place in Lincoln that also does mail order.

Picked up a single SMH10 unit today from global bikes and upgraded the firmware to V5.1

first impressions , fantastic :beerjug::beerjug:

Have been waiting patiently for the 20S as it seemed perenially imminent. It did say 'Coming in April' on their website, but they removed that and now it says 'Coming Soon'. Adding further ambiguity means they still haven't a clue when they're hitting the marketplace. Mid-May at the earliest is still ambiguous and I'm losing patience. Might have to do some homework and buy something else. Anyway, their correspondence:

Thank you for contacting Sena Technologies and for your interest in our products.

So far we scheduled the 20S for mid-May at the earliest. If you wish to have it as fast as possible once released, I would suggest you to buy it on www.buysena.com , as the dealers would take some time to have it stocked in their shop.

Your Sena spears to the non-sena device as a phone, so they can't also use a phone/GPS whilst universally paired with your Sena. I was grabbed by the headline universal pairing but after reading the manual can't see me ever using it as mates wouldn't want to give up their phone/GPS whilst we were out

Hi daesimps, Have you tried pairing with the non senna device Im having problems pairing with a Interphone headset for my pillion. Think its asking for the pin ie 0000 or 1234 but not sure how to enter it as you cant see a screen like on the phone or GPS.. any advice would be gratefully received :thumb

BTW over the moon with the SMH10 otherwise

cheers mate, Dave

Sorry Dave but I've not tried the universal pairing as it turns out my mates ditched their Scalas and went back to Autocom. Most devices without the ability to enter a PIN automatically try both 0000 and 1234 but I do know there are a small number devices on the market that don't. I would imagine that Sena have already thought of that.

Sorry I can't help, but good luck getting it working. I'd be interested in knowing how well it works in case I ever need to use it.

Dae.

Ok Dae, thanks for reply
..

just had a thought, I mite be able to use the Sena device manager and try pairing when its connected to the computer ??

To be fair Ive not had too much time at it so I will try again and let you know how I get on ..

culled from their facebook page....

'Kris Linquist from Revzilla: ""We just received notice from the manufacturer that the expected date of arrival for this item has been pushed back to mid June. It seems that no amount of yelling, screaming, kicking or fist shaking will move the date up any sooner. Believe us, we tried.""
23 April at 10:33'

mmmm....

At the risk of being boring...

'20S is supposed to be shipped from the week of May 26, and it would be available at the retail stores from early ~ mid June. Until the release, Sena will keep posting the product info & guide one-by-one. Thank you for your patience. Enjoy riding!

useless

heading to the Pyrenees on 28th June, and have held out until then. Sena are terrible at launch dates. It was projected to be March and has shifted month by month until then. I sincerely hope they get the finger out and that I'm able to buy it and have it before I go.

Well, according to Sena's Facebook page just now........

"The 20S shipment has been started. Sena has been spending time & effort to provide a truly revolutionary piece to totally change your riding experience. Some retail shops may have the units available next week. Again, thank you for all your patience, and sorry about all the inconveniences you have faced so far. Wish you guys really enjoy riding with the 20S!"
