Been to the NEC bike show this week and had a look at new Shoei flip front lid.ITS GOT A DROP DOWN SUN VISOR. I find this amazing as Shoei always said it compromises the integrity of the helmet to have a sun visor.
BTW it was going to "cost about £450". So we have an updated multitec for the price of a Schuberth C3. Smells like jumping on the bandwagon and making a fat profit to me.

ooh,,cant wait..

I can honestly say i'm very pleased with my multitec, after 10000 miles its luverly.
However with the neotec, the washable lining would a great plus, as is the sun visor, and it probably wont fall to bits like the c3.At least shoei lids dont break.....easily...
On the whole its what the multitec should have been in the first place.
Time to put 20 quid a month away for a new one then..:D

Not so amazing if you listen to the way the sun visor has been incorporated.
It is on the outside of the helmet shell ,so it doesnt comprise the saftey of the helmet.
Its also got a wider field of view .Looks a very nice bit of kit.:thumb2

looks like it could be quite promising.

I like Shoeis but the flip helmets just don't seem to have enough room for my chin (and it's not that big!!!)

hopefully the sizing will be slightly better.

Check out the new Caberg flip front, the flip front now has a locking mechanism so it can be used as an open face. Comes with sun visor, removable lining and has a pinlock and has 4* SHARP rating. Much less than a SHOEI in price also.

Just more confused , I was looking at the C3 but read a lot of bad reviews esp about the visor dropping down, have reverted to wearing my S1 but with earplugs, quietness was the original buying reason, but have found the integral sun visor really useful (even in the UK) and now Shoei are at it.
Going to the NEC tomorrow  to look at textile gear armed with Dec & Jan Ride mags.
Have just been informed by one of Santa's spies that I'm getting a Garmen Zumo 220 & scala blue tooth for Xmas (I must have been good) so may look for a mounting kit while I'm there.

According to the guy on the stand all new design not a re vamp of multitec all designed around use with gloved hands, extra hump fitted to accommodate the visor with normal shell underneath. Price £475. But for me the drawback only comes with racket fastner no double d's :(

Which model are you referring to?
I would like to purchase a flip-front too, and I like the Cabergs, but how quiet are they? I am riding with a Uvex Enduro at the moment...

Nice lid! Let's hope this brings the price of the multitec down a bit.
