Just as the wear bars met the road new TKC70s landed in my local dealer - fitted this morning.

I already know they don't have the whine of the Anakees and they were fine on the 2 lanes between dealer and home.

got mine fitted this morning, first impressions pretty good, but does make the steering a bit heavier

That central band on the rear tyre is like the Heidenau K60, widely considered to be one of the best adventure tyres given its longevity providing hard wearing compound and the moderate dirt capability of the tread pattern. These TKC70s are it's direct competitor, and they look good, excet I don't like that central band.

On the ride to work after having them fitted I had a slight weave at motorway speeds and a bit twitchy on white lines or cats eyes I had the pressures as per normal 36F 42R I've just changed them to 34F 36R and it is now perfect
What pressures are yours at or is there a recommended pressure for these tyres.

Cheers Terry

Update with the tyres set at 34 36 psi it is improved but it will still weave now and then over whites lines the grip is brilliant but I have to say it's not brilliant at higher speeds regarding the handling. I will persevere with them but if I can't get them to feel right I won't be buying another set.
I've spoken to continental and they are waiting to hear back from Germany regarding the testing they done on autobahns

There's report of the tyre launch (I didn't know they did either) in the current issue of Adventure Bike Rider too.

They get a very good review.

edit - I just checked, they report re road use: "Overall though, on the road the tyres were excellent, with it only up above speeds of 90 mph that you started to feel little movement in the tread"

Well I did say motorway speeds lol, yes I would agree with them on that maybe as the depth of tread wears a bit it will get better.
But they are one of the best tyres I've had for grip even in the wet they are very good.
I've taken the side panniers of for my ride to work to see how they behave then.

I am very impressed with mine and not noticed any higher speed issues at all. Limited off road so far but for what I have tried the tyres have been surprisingly good.

Its going to be a while before any wear becomes obvious.
