So what d'ya reckon...? I not sure about the 'heat shield', but its the only way I could think of securing the stubby without the 'clamp' being on view.....
Those with stubbies fitted, how does yours look...... ?
Overall, I'm pleased. Can't believe the weight saving, and its not as loud as I was expecting. Can't really comment on improvement in performance as I've only taken it for a quick spin.......

Just get a stainless clamp. The ones that hold the headers to the cat fit I think.

I bought one from a car accessory place on the web.

With the heatshield fitted it looks like a dog who's been to the vets and has to wear one of those lampshades around his neck with his head inside :blast :D

i have just taken the can off mine - i hade some exhaust tube so i have tried different lengths, interestingly it sounds better with it completely off ! - to long sounds to raspy - so i compromised at about 6 inches. the clamp i cut off the back of the sheild, if i can get a pic i will.

...and its not a heat sheild is it, its a very heavy peice of junk Bull!

Fence could do with a coat of preserver, weeds need sorting. Keep an eye on the dodgy looking geezer with the hat and get rid of the bloody heat shield.

Roo bars look a bit out of place in Surrey, specially with road tyres. :D

Appreciate the input folks......:thumb.
Heat shield only temporary 'till I get a suitable clamp to hold the stubby in place.
For info, pics were taken up at the tea hut on Epsom Downs this afternoon.

get rid of the stubby and leave the heathield in place... looks like a trumpet - very different. (we likes different) :thumb
