New suit

I'm getting temppted to get the Rukka for the colder months, and the Klim for the summer.

I think that it's the only sensible choice.

If you can afford Klim or Rukka great, go for them. I imagine if cost / performance is related they must be VERY good indeed. I have no experience of either myself but know lots of people who have Rukka and rate them above all others. Although three grand seems a lot to pay for 2 bike suits which will get totally crapped up ..... but then i have yet to win the lottery. I suppose if I were to buy a ticket and then win, I'd go with your suggestion.

Next level down is the Streetguard suit - which I have myself - and which is very good too.

Motorcycle clothing - it's a catwalk out there !

The 2011 Klim Adventure stuff was all recalled due to material fault. Won't be back until 2012 but there are two new suits coming in Sept, one at £800 and one at £1200.

I have had a Rukka SRO for 3years or so and several people who I ride with have also bought Rukka...(extra features as you go up the range). mainly because of riding in pissing rain I'm the only one with a dry crotch..( no I don't wear a nappy)

I got the Klim (Gore Tex) Traverse suit last week. Worn once on long trip and very pleased with it. I wear a forcefield armoured vest under the jacket so that I can wear the jacket casually when I'm out in the evenings etc, and if it's a warm day, not bother with the jacket and simply stick on the trousers and vest. £650 for the whole lot. In addition, if I continue to wear the armour in the FF vest and don't swap it out into the jacket, I can wear it all skiing too :thumb2

I've got rukka armas trousers and will get the matching jacket before this winter. Best bet is to register on www.louis.de (free to do so) and they occasionally send out 20%-30% off vouchers on any single item purchase. I've bought the trousers, daytona boots and a schuberth c3 from them each time. Not only are the items cheaper in the first place, you then get the big discount.

I looked at getting some Rukka gear from bikerland.de about 6 months ago. Compared to UK sellers their prices were very good. I dont like to buy clothing mail order unless ive tried it on firsrt though. Then i came across this place :

http://www.rukkasuperstore.com/default.aspx

I spoke to a nice lad on the phone and asked about the price match policy mentioned on their website and he confirmed that they would match bikerland.de prices. I went over to Nuneaton and tried on a Rukka Athos jacket and Unit trousers. I paid £610 for both and saved nearly £300 on what other UK sellers were wanting. Im really happy with the gear, warm in winter, not swelteringly hot in the mild weather we've just had. Dont know how cool in summer i'll be yet. It looks quality gear and built to last and with a 5 year warranty too.

Why did you go for the SRO? Just a better fit than something like the Armas, or does it offer something tangibly different?
