Bought a 2nd hand Zumo 660, which the owner had installed the foreign speed cameras in to boot.
Great, now you may have to subscribe to whoever creates the speed camera data in order to keep the listings up to date.
You can turn them off, too. A useful trick as they will invariably ping annoyingly just as you are negotiating a rain soaked multi-exit roundabout, whilst fighting off a juggernaut intent on crushing you.
Any advice? Don't know anything about storing or doing routes.
Read the abreviated owner's manual that should have come with your 660.
See Mapsource for dummies tutorial sticky in this section.
Download the much fuller owner's manual from the Garmin website.
Download Webupdater from Garmin website. This will keep your software up to date.
Check that the mapsets on your PC and on the device are identical. If they are not, update so that they are.
Consider purchasing Garmin's Nu-maps to keep your maps up to date.
Read assorted threads in the 660 section and in other sections for lots of 'How to do it' advice, including the best ways to power the device when riding.
Play around with the device, you can't break it.
Just glad I have an easy way of finding shops/fuel abroad
Get used to using the device before you go.
