new tourance issue.

Rode my mates bike myself this weekend.... exactly the same as mine? beginning to think its a GS thing the pulling to the right ?
It just aint a problem unless you wanna ride round hands free :clap

yep - done about 200 miles now on these new tourances... the steering to the right is still there but not as pronounced as it was when they were brand spanking... i'm happy that the tyres/fitting are fine now. i searched on the advrider site and there's quite a few threads about GS steering slightly to the right, so i'm just gonna put it down to 'they all do that' and forget about it!

Prone, judging by the poll results for tyres used there are loads of forum members that have Tourances on the front, and the phenomenon you are experiencing is not at all common. Take it back and ask for a new tyre. Someone else asked why you were bothering with Mez, it’s FWR’s problem if the tyre is a duffer.

I’ve done 4500 on mine and handling is spot on…

What Happened. Cause.......

Well I am reading this after the fact but.......

I had my tyres done at FWR 3 weeks ago and then had the bike breakdown etc.......anyway I notice a handbar shaking when at around 30ish and going down from 50 to 30.

Went back to FWR yesterday and they checked my rim for dents, my brakes and brake pads to make sure the front end wasn't damaged in any way.

They got on the phone to Metzler and changed the tyre straight afterwards. I have done 12k on these tyres before so I felt it straight off.

As soon as I left the fitter the problem is gone and after 50 miles it is still straight as a arrow. The tyre was faulty, FWR fixed it no question and the guys did a great job.

Careful out there guys, these dodgy tyres are dangerous, they do not help on corners especially in the wet this week and shake the front of the bike rather badly when decreasing speed.

Had my engine bars scraping the deck round the roundabout over the A14 yesterday, after getting two new tourances on at Wheelfit in Cambridge.
