New triple black gs today.. Advice for those dipping in for £1k BMW deal

Picking the bike up in couple of hours
I went for the current deal of a grand in your hand from BMW
Just in case any out there are doing the same before the end of the deal (end of month) I also got thrown in the vario panniers and top box with back rest!.. saving me another grand. BMW are allowed to work with around 4% either off the bike or accessories ... So if you going for it have this in mind...I think I'll be early there me thinks

Supposedly collecting mine today but so far had a pair of silk under gloves thrown in.

Think I'll have to question this 4% malarky with them when I get there. If I get no joy would you swap your panniers etc for my gloves...no

On bikes maybe, but on clothing and most other stuff (which can also be creatively smeared across the whole package) it's SIGNIFICANTLY higher

Ok all you guys who had the panniers etc thrown in how about some names of the dealers?
I've just got home from collecting my GS and the dealer was having none of it, despite me mentioning what has been secured by others here.

His response was they are probably located in the cities and with a much bigger clientele and spending capacity whereas we are quite a small business. He actually frowned at my comment re the BMW 4% policy.

On the plus side my 'new included' silk under gloves prevented my fingers from going white!

Yes , though I'm not complaining because ultimately it is the bike I am buying which I am over the moon with. I think I'll stop reading this thread before I find out somebody got a free helmet , sat nav , intercom , jacket , tank bag , spot lamps AND panniers.

It definitely pays to shop around when you buy new

Your local BMW dealer will be more than happy to service it and warranty claims can go through any of them

I regularly use AJ's but when I bought new they were £500 more expensive than Motorrad Central who also delivered the bike free to me. Even factoring in having to pay £169 for the 600 mile service at AJ's it was still a handy saving

the best service at CWs seems to be reserved for those that bought from them and get their bike serviced there.

Got the bike from pidcocks long eaton, whilst on business throughout UK I'd also dropped into BMW birm, Northampton , Manchester and wolverhampton. The first dealer to offer the luggage in with the deal was birm, whilst on travels Wolverhampton said that most dealers would honour similar deals. Advice I got at most dealers was very good, particularly gary at Wolverhampton and Andy at long eaton. Long eaton matched the deal and went further to add in the back rest and the service I got from Andy was excellent so with this being my local I ordered there.

Presently supprised on the day that datatag and BMW European 2 year breakdown assistance came with the bike.

Anyway it's the bike at the end of the day.. Took her for run out via Melton Mowbray, through down to Northampton using twisty roads working bike nicely, got pissed on but was grinning outside the helmet... Awesome, just fantastic and wish I'd bought one years ago . Just enjoy the bikes boys

Picked up my new GS 3XB from CW on the 17th.

Got a good deal from them, and found the really help.
It is the first BMW I have had. Was a sport bike nut....no longer truly converted


Great bike.
