new tyres any deals going on.

"xxxx Insert latest topical problem here xxxxxx" push prices up unnecessarily - Thats the only deal at the moment :(

I get my Mitas tyres through Trellesport. Always good prices.
How do you find Mitas? And which ones do you go for? I will be needing some tyres for the R80GS soon, I was thinking of Pirelli Scorpion STR... but happy to be advised.

I’d like to see you get 10k miles out of a pair of STR :)
I have Karoo Street on at the moment, they have done OK and grip well enough for me... she had Pirelli Scorpion on before and they did disappear quite quickly, even with my gentle right hand!

Tourance every time, transformed the F650GS 800 handling! Only downside is the road noise.

I love Mitas and never had any issues with them.

I'm trying a pair of Mitas Terra Force R on my Super Tenere and they are really good so far. They are very much like a tourance.

If you want something a bit more meaty and more off road bias, have a look at the E07's as they are very hard wearing (I've had 10k plus on my 1200GSA) and give great grip on the tarmac and the loose stuff.

Thanks.
I did have some EO7s on the X Country when it arrived but I felt a bit wary of them. At the moment I am on MEFO Explorers on the X Country and they are amazing, as grippy as the Anakees, but they aren't going to last very long!

Duncan (Arkwright on here) recommended Conti TKC 70s for airheads - been super pleased with them on my R100GS.
Thank you Richard, the round the world accountant (Nick Sanders) used the TKC70s for many of his record trips... how do you find them off road trails?
