New winter trousers needed. Help!

Hi all,
I'm in the market for a pair of winter trousers as my old pair are on their 8th winter. I bought a Hein Gericke Master 5 jacket last year which is superb but since then they've fitted the new Gore stop zip and the trousers are now £50 dearer than the original jacket was so it's a no go.
I've considered the Voyage trousers from HG but at £290 I'm not sure I can justify the price. Although I wear my jacket all winter, I tend to wear the trousers in wet weather only as I will wear my leather pants unless it's either freezing or chucking it down.
Basically I'm looking for winter trousers that are:
1) warm
2) waterproof
3) comfortable
4) offer excellent levels of protection
5) don't look like I'm wearing pyjamas
6) great value for money
7) preferably zip to my HG jacket (or have braces)

So come on fellow GSers. Help me out. Thanks for all your advice.

I think the best value in textile clothing is currently the Halvarssons / Jofama range.

However, currently having a Gore-Tex Pro Shell / Armacor suit, I'd be loth to go back to anything less abrasion resistant.

Thanks and I'll have a look at their range although I know nothing about them. Obviously my jacket is Pro Shell but all other providers of this type seem very expensive. That said, I can't fault my jacket. I just struggle to justify replacing a £150 pair of HG Goretex trousers with something nearly twice the price. I've looked at Revit, Weise etc.etc but am worried that you only get what you pay for and don't want cold and damp testicles!

I think Hein Gericke are having Christmas discount sales....so may make their options a bit more affordable?

I have the Rukka Unit trousers....which are good...but can't say that they're the best, cos I've not tried all the rest!

I think the Revit stuff is good..and the new Cayenne Pro replacement looks good...but is pricey!

I'd have to agree, that the best thing to do is try as many as you can, and decide by which criteria suits you best....I don't think you necessarily have to pay a lot of money to get good riding kit...I've always found Spada stuff excellent for example, and they're not expensive. I've also heard good things about Held too.
