The wheel bearings are on the way out so I'm looking for an idiots guide to changing them. Have tried the search... it seems maybe it's obvious to everyone else!
Have seen suggestions around heating up the hub first, and also sticking the new bearings in the freezer before fitting them.
In terms of specifics for the HP2...
Pull the rubber cover off first? And they just pull out with a screw driver??
Then, I should be able to knock the bearing out gently from the other side using a screwdriver?
I see the inner spacer tube is loose - I'm assuming I have to move that a little to expose an edge of the bearing, right?
Before putting the new one in, should I be using any grease?
And the rubber cover... I'm assuming I can re-use that, or should I have got replacements for those too?
And yes, I know I should know how to do this!
