Ok hi everyone!!
Decided the model of choice is to be a 1150gsa with no frills. Probably keeping for a while and a budget of max 5k plus I like the styling as well. Never ridden any of the gs models so nothing to compare too. Hopefully some distance riding two up adventures to come!

Firstly is this a good choice (as opposed to saving more money for a newer bike)?

Secondly is buying a bike from Europe ok as seen some good deals price wise with pound to euro etc. if so is there anything I should look out for?

Lastly, buying a bike over ten years old are parts easily available? And are there any issues taking bikes of this age abroad? Does breakdown cover still apply and do ferries allow bikes on (they didn't used too for certain aged bikes)

Cheers any advice would be great!

Best bike on the range, for me

Parts are all available and BMW are one of the best at keeping their older bikes on the road

CN cover my bikes for breakdown cover and they're 2005

You can take any bike on the ferries I use

Thanks, I hope it will be as good as I think it will be for touring!

Do you know much about the registration of these bikes from new?? I have done some research on the bike I am looking at but it doesn't specifically say "adventure" on the build just gs with big tank black seat etc should it say adventure on the build???

Cheers
