Newbie - Needs some off road practice!

Hi all,

I've signed up to go on a 12 day trip with to Moto-Morrocco in November on one of their "beginner's" off-road adventures and was hoping to get some practice in before had.....as i've never actually been off road on a bike before! Let alone my GS!

I've currently got the usual road-tourances on my 1150GS Adv but am changing them to TKC80's in a couple of weeks time - in time for the trip down in Mid November.

I was wondering if anyone was planning on a day's green-laneing anytime soon and wouldn't mind if I popped along to have a go as I'm beginning to get a bit nervous about doing it for the first time in Morrocco!!

I'm based in West London and happy to ride anywhere really to have a go with a group of you guys, so if anyone's got anything planned and you don't mind me tagging along for the experience i'd really appreciate it!

2nd Oct anygood, somebody else has said the second, I don`t mind showing you around but I`m no teacher.

Took a retired Gent out today on gravel roads as hes off on a Globebusters trip.

So if you want I don`t mind, but as I say not a teacher, maybe an odd tip.

I'll happily meet you near Bracknell early on a weekend morning. The lanes in this area are a bit limited compared to some of the 'meccas', but offer plenty of opportunity to ride on mud, gravel and even fords if you wish.

The thing is, this area should be quite accessible to you, and you'll get to know some routes where you can easily sneak back on your own if you fancy a bit more (and you will)!

I've been with Bakerman once and he is a very good "tour leader" and host!

Sure, no problem.

Just bear in mind that this will involve seeking out different surfaces and mucking around learning how to ride them, rather than lots and lots of scenic miles, angry MOD people... you know, the usual stuff!
