Hi there folks,

Just thought i would say hi. Just bought a secondhand 1200GS (8 weeks old). Have put 1000 miles on it this week with a couple of decent rides at the weekend and back and forwards to work this week as well. Really enjoying the whole experience and just wishing i had bought the gs before heading on an alps trip this past summer on a 600 fazer.

So basically im just saying hello, i think this site is great and i hope i bump into a few of you (not literally) around the country at some stage.

See you around.......

Hi Trev, you're very welcome, good to see another addict. Keep an eye on the site for news of meets and rideouts, hope to meet you soon

Cheers Raider,

what do most of the local members here ride?? 1200's, 1150's (adv) or is it a fairly even mix?? Its just that i see so many of these bikes on the road now that im always wondering are they on the forum or not.

Trev, I as heading to Auchnacloy from Monaghan yesterday and I met a red 12GS. Was it you by any chance? I was on a black 1150 followed by an orange Tiger.

Trev, whole mix of GS bikes, 650s, 850s, 1100s, 1150s, 1200s plus various airheads (the bikes, not the owners). And the occasional Varadildo

Hi Trev, welcome aboard ... fair spread of machines on here but never mind the Craic is good. This be my mount en route to the top of the Stelvio Pass, Italy a few weeks ago (and I love her to bits) :love

No that wasnt me on the red one you saw. I went for the 'common as muck' yellow colour that they do!!

Will keep my eyes peeled though,

cheers,

Cheers for the welcome Mr Wolf,

that is a class pic of the bike btw, i have a couple from the alps this year but would hate to annoy anyone by posting shots of a blue rice-burner on a site such as this. Got standards to keep after all!!

Good man yerself Trev, yellow is far and away the best. Here's mine in Northern Spain last month near Carmona (no, not Carnmoney) in the Picos mountains:

Once again another great pic,

we were actually talking about doing a picos trip next summer, would you recommend that one?? I've heard its a good trip but its good to get a couple of opinions,

cheers,

t

Definitely recommend it, brilliant biking roads and scenery. If you want, I can email you a trip report, accommodation details and more pix. Also have GPS routes for the area if you're kitted out with a unit

Yeah cheers, that would be great thanks!

A report or a few more photos and accomodation, much appreciated. I dont have gps but one of the fellas on the trip has that tom tom navigator linked to his i-paq, would the two be compatible?? Im not too sure about those things.

Not even sure if you can pick up my email off my personal bit (as i guess you need to be a sponsor to do these things) but if you cant please let me know. I will be back online on monday so i can check again then.

looking forward to clocking a few more miles this weekend,

thanks again,

t

Trev, can't email you through this site, must be something to do with your non-sponsor status. Send your email addy to me at dps {at} unite. co. uk (replace {at} with @) and I'll forward the stuff to you. Don't think Garmin routes are compatible with Tom Tom but willing to be corrected by those who know more about this than I do
