Q1 can u fit a lowering dogbone to the rear?
Q2 will i enjoy owning it?

Thanks in advance Paul

Welcome to the site Paul :thumb

What's your inside leg measurement ?

PS looks like Pidcocks :D

buy it ride it love it:thumb2 sell it if you don;t

it is pidcocks 30 inch leg mate i think

The easiest solution is to get a low seat... should cost 70-100 quid second hand... I've got an 1150 ADV , and 29 and a bit inside leg, had the seat re sculpted ( another option) and its fine for me...

you could also fit standard shocks to it, but that would affect the side stand and centre stand, so too much trouble....

Buy it and enjoy it :thumb

looks like im buying some 3inch new rock boots lol, but ay arnt they bloody heavy, even off the side stand, is there a nack of getting them off and on the centre stand, roll on sat morn....... bye bye B King

They do tend to lean over a bit on the side stand.. get yourself a hockey puck, drill 3 holes in the stand plate, and screw it on... that will provide a bigger footprint and make it easier to lift up - simples :thumb

PS.. make sure Pidcocks have the coffee machine on free vend when you go :D

ay thanks :comfort

They're heavy ...

... but the standard sidestand allows a considerable degree of lean which makes them a handful to wrestle upright. Options included a fat-foot from Rugged Roads or an ice-hockey puck screwed to the bottom of the existing footplate :thumb

Just as Bryn says, get the seat lowered, to much messing to adjust the shocks.
I'm 29" inside leg and had my 1150gsa seat remodeled by a local vehicle upholsterer.
He did a great job and i never had any problems.

Re: Low seat

I have a GSA low seat for sale - only been used a few times - I'm close by in Nottingham if you're interested £90.
I know Paul's said he's going to subscribe, but the advert needs to be in the right section :thumb Bryn

Paul, you really need to stump up as a subscriber to take advantage of the stuff for sale :thumb Bryn

is there a nack of getting them off and on the centre stand,

ON.
Firstly, Dont fill her too full of fuel - you dont need an extra 30Kg up high when practising this. Right, so lower the centre stand until touching ground, use your foot on the stand extension piece and raise up all your weight onto it as you lift the rear of the bike up and back by the pillion grab rail while also holding the left 'bar. You'll get use to it, but ensure you have plenty of room all around should she go over..... oh, and get used to it before trying it with the panniers in place - they are expensive to replace.

OFF
Firstly, Side stand down. Grab both 'bars covering the brake and push her forward and gradually roll it off the centre stand - you may have to rock her back/forward to get the "tipping point". Try to bias the front wheel to the right so that if you lose control, she should just drop onto the side stand (instead of your leg). Dont try 'lifting'.......unless you like hernia's. Some folk sit on them and 'ride' them off - I wouldn't advise that though, your adding your weight to work that the pivot for the stand has to do.

Jobs a good 'un :aidan

I've seen a salesman take a GSA off the centre from the front. He stood with one leg either side of the wheel, grabbed the screen with two hands and pulled the bike forward off the stand........and then balanced her there just on the wheels........its possible with practise, if not actually to be recommended.

Its a matter of getting used to the weight and balance.....

Well i picked it up at 1 pm today, found the rear hight adjuster was set to max so set it to low/normal and i can reach the floor ok now, what i want to ask is do they knock on low rev in gear when doing about 2k rpm (sounds like piston slap) it seams to clear around 3k revs, rides well and we have aready been invited to south of france in june and around europe aswell nxt yr with two different mates and wives, roll on summer days!

Oh im used to jap stuff so i better ring my mate at his farm to experience some farm machinary lol

can someone please tell me if no travel on the front end is normal? my front spring is set to its softest setting and when im sat on the bike 16stone lol there is about 1 inch of travel on the front suspension and then its rock solid! when its put on centre stand the front legs drop about 4inch
