Today was the FIRST I have been out a run on my bike since getting it a year ago that it hasn't rained Pretty windy though. I managed a run up over the Campsies and a play on Dukes Pass before my fuel light came on and I had to head home. Luckily I managed to last till I reached ASDA at £1.04 a litre. Thank goodness I was on a GS as most of the road surfaces I was on today were crap (Dukes Pass is not bad) while treacherous grit lying just on the biking line kept the concentration levels up. AT least it tested out my mate's R1200RT ASC Traction Control, which he says does work. Just reminded me that the ABS option might have been useful

I spent the weekend freezing my nuts off on a Fife hillside watching my daughters competing in a very tedious two-day equestrian event. They enjoyed themselves so it was worth the effort. "Transport Department" had little to do except take photos - so I took around 400 (I won't bore you with them).

On Sunday I kept thinking . . "I should be up north with the lads (and Tash)" !

It looks as though you had a great day out, thanks for the photos and I'm glad you all made it home safely (and found enough fuel).

I managed to get into top gear today and think that I actually achieved 60mph on one or two occasions. I might achieve mediocrity at this rate!
