Anyone got one yet? What's it like?

At £159 I could be tempted whereas at £450+ I've not yet been tempted to get an iPose.

one thing has stopped me jumping in .......

no micro sd expansion slot....

My Galaxy note has 64gb card and im still short of space, several hundred albums and a handful of movies soon fills it up

8 (or16) GB would mean a lot of data swapping for me i guess.

cracking spec otherwise and allegedly selling at a loss (a la kindle)

16gb will only hold a handful of HD vids, unless you want the hassle of converting each one....

720p 2hr vids are a gig or 3 each

Its a great bit of kit. Sure it has some stuff missing like rear camera (no great loss you just look like a twat taking a pic with a tablet anyway) and no Micro SD but its built to a price. If you want all the bells then pay the price I guess. As it stands currently nothing comes near it for the money. FYI none of the nexus devises have SD storage because Android doesn't support it in the source code. Google doesn't want to supports External storage because it adds complexity to the user interface. Googles words not mine and its the same reason the iPhone and iPad doesn't have external storage.

I have been messing around with a cheap 7" android tablet and have decided to go for a nexus I had one on order with Ebuyer with an expected delivery date around the 10th Aug. But have found Tesco have them instock and should be collecting it this thursday The cheaper one was fine accept I have found that I want GPS and bluetooth

I just did a USA trip and took a 7" android jobbie off ebay, For me the 7" is the perfect size for biking. Easy to stash, good battery life. The one I had like the muncher had no GPS or Bluetooth but that was the only downside. Also it was only fifty quid so no great shakes if it got nicked or gave up.
When the ebay jobbie karks it I'll certainly be looking at the nexus for the handy size if nothing else

my dads got one!! i was impressed with its speed, display and 'cool' voice activation stuff.
felt really small in my hands (compared to the ipad) ideal for what he wants it for - email.
its far to complex for anything else - he's a techno failure lol, but at 75 what can you expect?
he likes the newspaper icon!! he can have a look at the latest stories .....

My mate got one last week . He seems to like it & he's a bit of a techie . I'd go for the 10" archos for the same money or this one here . Which looks the dugs baws for the money . It has all the slots etc 1.6ghz dual core main plus a quad core graphics processor .
