Nikasil

Am number of BMW cars fitted with the Nikasil engine had problems in that the sulphur content caused the Nikasil cylinders to break down causing engine failure.

Does anyone know or heard of a similar symptom to any BMW bikes fitted with Nikasil?

I believe the R80GS was fitted with Nikasil...........

This was only a problem on a small batch used in the early ? ninties, mostly cars were affected .
Only BMW bikes i've heard suffering from it are a few K75 models.
