Nippy Norman Spot Lights

Hi
Has any one tried the Nippy Norman Spot Lights for the 1150GS.
If so are they any good.
It says on the web site that they are not suitable for the Adventure, I can only assume that the extension to the high mud guard gets in the way. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I now have a set of these that I have been playing about with over the last few days.
The lights and the mounting brackets are indeed excellent and very well made. However the basic loom and (cheap) toggle switch that is supplied with the kit is not so good, in fact its verging on darn right rubbish!

I have since spoken to Norman and expressed my views and thoughts, consequently he has immediately taken the toggle switch and loom out of the kits. Therefore the only option now is the Autoswitch one, which makes sense anyway really.

As daylight running lights they are excellant, very low wide flat beam pattern, like a smaller version of the Micro DE's, but not quite so versatile.

Plus, I cannot see why they will not fit on the GSA either?

Thanks for the advice - guess I will give them a go. Norman said he was working on full fitting instructions at the moment and so when try are ready I will order a set and let you know how I get on fitting them to an Adv.

It is fair to say that while the lense design is very similar to the Micro DE, IMHO the beam pattern is not as good or as bright.

The beam is very flat and wide (same as the DE's) and as daylight running lights they would be an excellant choice without a doubt. Its a very neat bracket that secures each light using the two OEs screws on each side of the beak to secure them, so no hole drilling anywhere.
You might want to look and improve the connection on the back of each of the lights though. Its only a push-in male/female spade connection that is covered in spiral wrap. I suspect that over a period of time it "could" suffer from water ingress??
Might be best to cover the joint with heatshrink just in case?

But personally, if you are buying them for better illumination at night as well, then I think that you might be a little dissappointed with them. Not that they are really bad, but remember that they are fog lights and therefore are really only designed to be used in poor lighting conditions.
