Hi there I'm looking for a neat and practical way to add electrical accessory's to my GS1150 02, I already have a live feed wired in to under the front seat, and am looking to add autocom pro sport 7, music, sat nav, phone, etc, I've seen a 8 outlet fused panel at N/Norman's, seams a little exspesive @ £39.99, anyone used one or know of better/cheaper way to add all the stuff I want? If yes, might concider localish help to install, any comments welcome, regards Dusan, location up the creek without a padle in N/Essex, cheers  :bounce1  :nenau

Go to a breakers and get a late model Jap fusebox,as they are often blade fuse type nowadays...the GSXR ones are rather neat.
Or go to Maplins or RS and get individual blade fuse holders which slide together...

I used one of NippyNorman's Centech fuse panels to wire up the lights and nautilus horn on my old 1100. It has the advantage of being set up as a power distribution box - give it a live and earth feed direct from the battery (up to 60A) then just connect your live connections to the fusebox and your earths can either go to a local earth or back to the earth on the fusebox.

It made life easier for me. If I had space on the new ADV I'd stick one on there too.

Centech AP1

I've been using the Centech AP1 for over a year now on my R1200GS.......and it's a great way of distributing up to 60 amps of battery power via eight outlets, protected by six blade fuses.

The only slight drawback is that it's constantly live and all devices attatched need to be independently switchable to avoid unwanted battery drain.

However, Centech have recently launched a relay kit to accompany the AP1 to make it switchable on the ignition and this is suitable for all bikes, including CanBus equipped BMW models......

Not sure if Nippy Norman has these relays yet, but we have good stocks of both items:

"Stick the Autocom on top of the air filter box" appears to be the advice from all over...

It was a fiddly bit of work getting it in there but it has been happy ever since.
