Personally I do not mind vendors large or small making their wares known to me - I just think it's taking the piss if they say that forums such as this are 'unimportant' when they do so. On the bmw car site that I help to mederate vendors can only get on if they offer the members a discount - fair is fair they only get paid by results in this manner - if our members like the products they'll buy thm and the vendors have had no advertising outlay and of course our members get a good deal as well...
