Nitron front shock - fault code?

Hi,

Got a Nitron front shock on the way through Race Labs. Aiming off for what's potentially coming down the road at me after I've fitted it.

Background: leaking OEM shock and some metal on metal feedback through the bars when going over things.

Question: as there's no wiring up to the existing electrical arrangements, does anyone know if I can expect some sort of warning code, what this could mean, or what I could do to work around it?

Ha - so no one here is a mind reader?

Thanks - it's a 2014 R1200 GSA. It had a stock shock that is reportedly unserviceable and a like for like is £1080. The after market replacement is serviceable and less than £600. And the spring is turquoise. Important information I feel.

As is, post install, I'll be left with an uncapped point where the cable from the old shock used to go, plus some unknowns on the dashboard. Just trying to get ahead of it.

The front Showa ESA shock on my 2008 GSA was knackered, with a blown seal and a “metal on metal” feel over bumps as you describe.

MCT suspension in Newmarket rebuilt it, including making a new internal bushing and reaming it to size.

Don’t fall for it when you are told they aren’t rebuildable.

MCT in Newmarket , Firefox Racing in Keighley and TTech Suspension in Croydon can all rebuild them to better than standard.

Wait until the shock turns up, and then you should see the electricerie connection.

Thanks mate - supplier says there won't be an electrical connection so aiming off for that.

The other option to get questions about Nitron suspension answered is to give them a call. Since they are a British company based in Oxfordshire it’s not that difficult.
