hi guys, ive made a nitrous kit specially for a gs as i fit them to jap bikes at my work as well as other things so il be posting a how to soon,it will be a 75 shot and will give you that drop down a gear feel when you hit the gas,ive been down to straightliners at elvington york and my best quater mile was 13.47,thats laser chipand system and custom induction kit, ally panniers (the only panzer in amongest the rice burners,so when its all done il try again and post a how to and so on,only have one prob and thats the retard and all i can think of is moving the baseplate on the hall pick up as it has minor adjustment, any ideas,

Forum member 'Laughing Gas' is yer man to discuss nitrous GSing with. :thumb2

You've come to the wrong site if you have problems with retards;)

All that without a full stop - You need nitrous to read it all in one go..

Well my first comment would be why in the name of all that's holy, would you want to put nitrous oxide on a GS?

However leaving that aside, if you move the hall sensor plate you will change the timing of both ignition and fueling (one hall sensor on the plate for fuel, one for ignition). I suppose you could slot the holes on the plate for the ignition sensor to allow you to move just the sensor but its held in place with rivets and I'd guess arranging an adjustable fastening would be difficult / impossible.

I'd imagine the proper way to do it would be to use a properly programmable 'map modifier' like a teclusion etc. Surely you don't want permanently retarded ignition when you aren't using nitrous?

I'll be interested to see how a GS transmission / final drive will stand up if you get nitrous to work properly...

Do you also sell gearboxes and final drives along with the kit?

They're probably needed!!!!!!!:trippy

Think I would rather just see the video of it in action, just for laffs.

Complete waste of time for the riding I do... lanes and 'B' roads.... and the occasional 'A' when i'm forced.

i'd be interested to see it all working

you could slot the plates on the hall plate and have it operated by a spring return mini cylinder fed off the nitrous solenoid - then when you hit the button you'll get instant retard

genius

The first hit is still the most amazing one. I suck it in, hold it, and then lay back and feel the beauty of nitrous flood right through me. Then I would chase it with a few more hits. It got to the point where I would sit and watch sitcoms or cartoons or music videos while on nitrous, taking a hit every couple minutes or so to keep the high going 'just for the full experience.' I would almost always do nitrous in my room with a blacklight on and music or television in the background. The funny thing is that I would have some absolutely profound thoughts that made ingenius sense and then two minutes later, while I was reminding myself that I needed to remember what I was thinking about, I couldn't remember what I was thinking about at all. Also, the feeling of nitrous is so much fun that I would sometimes pass out, wake up a little while later to do some more until I passed out again and this would continue until I either fell asleep completely or ran out. Top stuff. Too good to waste in a motorbike.

It'll be a 75 shot....is that as in, 75hp shot?

Ye Gods, it'll blow up and there will be a human cannonball from a GS seat. That is nearly the full power output in one go.

If you are going to be racing at the Bulldog tomorro, or Saturday, I'll see if I can be there at the same time (got the custom show and everything else to do as well) and get some pictures of this phenomenon.

I have ot say, I think a bog standard GSXR slabbie would still beat it.:comfort

a 75 shot?? thats a lot? this makes a 1150 into 150 bhpish?so you are in effect doubling the output of the bike?equivalent of running my 120bhp bandit at 240bhp, ?wich cant be done wi jus n02?
so thats a poor standing quarter,BUT a rather successfull n02 kit?, however, a drop down gear feel is around 25bhp in my experience, (which , without blowing my trumpet , is rather a lot over the last 20 years)
post the graphs off the dyno, i take it if you fit em, u dyno em?

its not hard to do im gonna use what we use on the ol kwak z1000 ,they have an adjustable box that the triggers on the crank pulse so il test my ideas and get back ta yall,it will be progressive stage nitrous with programmable staging and come in and fade out slowly ,so it wont give the gearbox bulldog teeth, you gotta admit overtaking a power ranger on a ducati is awesome.thanks for the interest

you mean like an old tmc megablast2000?
pulses it in , with variable adjustment for revs?, still cant see you pushing an extra 75bhp through a basicly soft tuned engine though??
will it be a dry system like on a hyabusa or a wet system like a carbed bandit?

Useful

How about if someone brought out a kit for something useful, like a reverse gear or built in erecting device for when the bloody thing falls over?.

Excellent review, if somewhat familiar :aidan
