no abs lights

My abs warning lights do not come on at all, I've also not noticed any noises from the bike when pulling off. Is it safe to say the abs has been taken off permanently? Or is there a fault?

Sounds electrical? Like a fuse(s) has gone? But I'm guessing you've checked them?

Certitudes are much better than assumptions. Simply pull the gas tank and see if the ABS pump is still there. Maybe your bike never even had ABS.

My one also has the ABS ring etc but the servo unit is on a shelf in the shed so ....no ABS lights

Is there a 'whizzy' sound when you apply the brakes, then if not you are lucky as a previous owner probably has your servo in a similar place to mine?

Sounds like a servo vasectomy was successfully performed, is better for it IMHO
