HELLO

Just bought an 1150 gs 2000 and found that the handlebar switches do not light up .
They work fine IE indicate blow horn etc but don't light up.
This is a real pain at night as i am not used to the bike yet and keep pressing the wrong switch.
This applies to both sides of the bars.
Ive checked the fuses on view under the seat but there OK.
Anyone have a clue.
All advise appreciated.

Are they supposed to light up? mine dont, I think after a bit of familiarisation you will be ok, I use tucano muffs and have a problem finding the horn sometimes, I flash main beam at errant motorists:augie

The only switch that lights up is the hazard switch.

How many switches do you have on your bars that it causes you to get confused. :blast

My mistake

Must be me but i thought they were back-lit but reading your response they obviously are not.
Glad my first contact with the group provided some entertainment .
Cheers for the help

Good Effort Jon

At the end of the day Well Done for sticking your head back above the parapet and entering into this Chaotic Maelstrom of the World Of GS!

I have never seen back lit switches on a Bike. I guess there are some out there and it's a great idea. Maybe your on to something :thumb
