No map dropdown .............help

Hi Guys, first post,

Got new Navi 1490T, d/l mapsource and installed on XP,

There is a map on the right side, but no dropdown menu on the left next to the zoom +/- buttons so can't do anything on the map on the right

Ripping my hair out here, any ideas

Hi Gaz W,

Try one of 2 things: There might be a small (tiny!) arrow next to the left top of the map, try clicking that. Or, try the toolbars settings as these open the way to select waypoints and via points. If you see the sticky threads put on here by the real experts these might help.

The 1490 is great and I used on on my bike recently to help me out of some problems but the battery life is fairly short. How do you plan to power yours?

Not the cheapest but will give you an idea of the cables available to power the nuvi GPS from your bike.
