Help please, I got no spark at the plugs, bike cranks over ok.
Is there a relay that needs checking if so which one?

Bike is a 1150 GS 2002 single spark plug

hello, more info needed pal, what happened leading up to this, did it cut out riding along, have you just rebuilt it from the ground up etcwhat have done to try to remedy it ,for instance whats happening coil wise?cheers

Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on?.
Try removing the black cover over the front of the motor and checking the wiring to the hall sensors.
Have you disturbed anything?.

Hi guys thanks for the questions.

Bike has been running fine without any fault, I had just been out for a run and covered about 200 miles was on the way home and needed fuel, pulled in and killed the engine with the switch, filled up and went to start it, engine turned over fine but would not start, flicked the switch a few times still no joy, left it for about 10mins tried and it started, rode home about 80 miles parked up and went indoors, went out at night to put it in the garage and bike would not start, so pushed it.
next day tried again still no luck.

I have drained the fuel and removed the pump checked and its fine.
Pulled the plugs and no spark.
No signal at the injector either.
Put a hertz meter on and no signal so beleive it may be the engine sensor.
Have check the wiring as far as I can see and it seems fine.

All this leads me to think that the Hall Sensor is dead, do they just go and thats it or could it be the the engine kill switch is not powering up the relay, I can't get the cover off to check out the switch.

I don't normally use this switch to cut the engine and it's the only thing that is different to normal.
I need a wiring diagram if anyone has one, and how the hell does the cover come off? the starter button looks to big to go through the cover...

check the switch by pulling the plug under the tank, check for continuity between halls and motronic(from memory 4 way connector) with the battery disconected. If the switch is ok you should have juice going to coil(from memory green wire).Used to be able to download wiring diagram from BLACKBEARSMC.RU worth a try, failing that why not repost asking here, sorry cant help more, good luck

ps no signal at injector sounds like halls ,wiring or very unlikely motronic, guy on here steptoe knows his stuff and would know how to test

cheers for the ideas I will have a look but think it's going to need to go to Steptoe.

No Spark

Had the same problem this weekend,
bike an fine all the way from Wales to Farnham, stopped at my mates and the bike turned over but no spark.
Removed the plugs and turned it over and then got a spark,
starter sounded fine but was drawing too much power to create the spark.
Thanks to Steptoe I was not stranded, kindly supplied me with a Hall sensor because I thought the same as you, but turned out to be the starter. Again Steptoe came up trumps. Drop him a pm, there's a very quick way to test the sensor without taking the tank off etc.
Try turning the bike over without the plugs in and attach plug to the ignitor and earth well, see if this helps.
Cheers,

Hi Guys, good news, the bikes back up and running thanks to Steptoe, (Hall sensor) and for a very reasonable price as well.
