What about side stand switch...Can a faulty switch do this?
Also , have these bikes diagnostic plug for errors?
I dont think i can manage this alone, i can cope with wrencihng but not with electrical problems
The side stand switch provides the earth for the motronic relay. The control for the relay comes via your ignition switch then through the kill switch. Once the relay is energised, assuming it’s a hard latch the power to the motronic comes directly from the battery. The delay you are experiencing could be high resistance at either the ignition switch or side stand switch, though why it would be only on the first attempt baffles me. Could you have water in the ignition switch still from the heavy rain….
If the motronic isn’t getting it’s full power (12v) then it’s unlikely to give you a spark even if it receives the correct signal from your hall sensor.
If you think you are having control issues with the relay then remove it and jumper across, providing power directly from the battery to the motronic. You will still need ignition on to power the rest of the bike electrics.
