Anyone had any joy with theirs?

I got mine in December, but since it arrived I have not had one that worked for more than a few seconds.....on third one now and not spoken a word into any of them. The radio hasn't worked from the outset in any of them either...waiting on new stock to arrive to get this one replaced (it didn't work from the moment they fitted it)

I have to say, I am not enthused about the reliability if they can't get one to work in 3 months.....

I can't really fault their after sales, they have done their level best to get me that works.

I've had one since last summer.

I'm pleased to say it works; though, while I didn't buy it for the radio - I still haven't managed to 'tune-in' the radio station presets.
The PC/Mac app software seems iffy, and I couldn't get that to link with the headset kit.

There's a very recent software upgrade been released - I haven't had the chance to test it in anger with the BX5.

On the whole, though, I was pleased with the kit's performance during last summer (radio apart) to the point I acceoted it's other shortcomings.
Italians being Italians, and all that....

Update - I was aksed to send the helmet and BX5 back, yet again - so into their original box they went and £26.60 later the Post Office was whisking it back to MotoGear.

I got a phone call yesterday, after a week of them having the helmet to fit a new unit inot...their techy guy phoned me in person. He was having all sorts of problems and had fitted 5 units and not one of them would work in my helmet. The daft thing is, the X-lite 1003 is made to fit this radio system into, so it is built specifically to accept the BX5 for hands free phone calls, radio 2 and radio 4 on the go, and for those who want to natter in convoy/pillion......all I want is the phone and radio. I don't do intercom things. They have sent the whole kit and caboodle back to Italy for the Italians to fathom out the problem.....November I bought it, not had the use of it yet. :rob

Hopefully I will get a working system, which is what I parted with a fairly sizeable chunk of money for in the first place. I am beginning to have my doubts now.

Any other systems on the market people can recommend? Built in Radio for BBC2 and BBC4 is a must, phone I can live without - NOT SCALA, I will never touch another of their products ever again. I wouold rather sing to myself. :aidan That was the beauty of this, all built in and inconspicuous. I don't have any music centre things (I can't work them, no iphone, iplayer or whatever they are. I have never managed to work out how to get music off the computer, however easy it is meant to be...it is too difficult for me to work. So I stick with the radio, besides, I then don't have to make any decisions as what to listen to, someone makes those decisions fo rme. Brilliant, responisbility devolved. :clap)

Ahh, well.
I updated the software in the BX5. Which went all ticketyboo.
However, the firmware in the helmet seems stuck in an Italian time-warp; its the original version firmware and WON'T update. Despite my best efforts of downloading the file directly to the computer, nor trying to upgrade direct from Nolan's website.

I am able to preset the radio stations via the computer software - so maybe I should be grateful it all more-or-less works in a way only the Italians appreciate

Interphone F5 would seem an obvious solution once you get a refund of course.

Just an update - got my helmet returned to me today, with yet another BX5 fitted. They sent the helmet back to Itaky for them to sort out whatever the problem was. MotoGear tried five brand new BX5 units in my helmet, not one of them worked, but they did work fine on the bench before going in the lid.....I will find out if the problam has been solved tomorrow when i take it for a spin.

Have you noticed any change in the helmet firmware version?
It started as v1.0 and I now believe it is v1.3.
