Nomad Fuel Tanks

I was just reading a Husaberg rally bike thread over on Advrider and stumbled across a link for aux fuel tanks.
Have a look at tank no.3, would it work on the XC?

Would probably work if you you strap it securely. Tank 4 would be best but 7.5 litres would be too much weight to have hanging off the back of the bike. If only they did a 3.5 litre version which would give you about an extra 50+ miles , just enough IMHO.

Have you had a look at the Acerbis auxiliary rear tank ?

I've got a spare tank that fits on the back of a bike
I might try post a picture.

true but the cans have nothing to connect therfore nothing to go wrong
simples:D

On these auxilliary tanks the fuel is drawn off by vacuum so apart from the fuel line running down to the existing tank there is bugger all to go wrong too with the added advantage that you dont have to stop to fill up. In the case of your 1100 I imagine the fuel is there for emergency uses. With a tank as small as the XC the aux tank is there to extend the range .;)

ok i did not understand how the connection works,as it is on a pogo with a small tank point taken

brilliant - the simpler solutions are often the best...
