Strangely enough......
I've just sent 'another' email to Garmin Support, chasing up for a solution to the original issue which I raised with them some 7 WEEKS AGO.
So far, I've been receiving polite 'standard / neutral' acknowledgments, but there is no indication that the matter is being progressed any. It's also the fact that I've had to be proactively chasing them that grinds somewhat!
