have just had to order a new rear master cylinder for the gs. :blast

apparently none of the major suppliers dont do a replacement kit for the r1100gs. n bmw didnt make a repair kit. (i was told)..
brembo mite, dunno?

the units complete, so not wanting to fit a secondhand part n find it the same as my old unit:blast

got new:thumb

Hopefully thats problem sorted then and full braking back....:thumb2

u maybe can slow down now, afore u get pulled for speeding,,,,,,,like today:augie:D

Have the seals gone and you are leaking fluid, or something else?

I once had a problem with the master cylinder due to a bit of crud inside that once in a while allowed the seal to leak and the pedal to fall to the stop with no brake. Like you I found that BMW would only sell the entire unit. They didn't think it was a bl***dy silly situation when all I needed was a just a seal kit for a few quid. Luckily I stripped it, cleaned out the crud and it was ok.

I'm pretty sure BMW brakes are re-badged Brembo but they may be specially made for them and thefore could be quirky. If you are lucky, a patient Brembo dealer in the UK may help you out. This must have happened to many people so let's hope someone has found the right part by now.
