noo dont make me wear a twat suit!

Have a look here.

My troosers arrived last weekend, really well made, the low price does not reflect the quality.

The jackets look good too (and are Gortex so fully waterproof).

Better quality IMHO than the MBW stuff at less than half the price .

Yes of course I value my skin but I just cant see how a jacket can cost as much as between £400 - £700, its madness
And its to do with the image issue, why does every gs rider have to ride around in the same gear, why should it be frowned upon if and when I wear my perfectly good leathers, after all they are colour co-ordinated with my bike :D

I Don't do Twat or Stich :)

Personally my choices are Belstaff armoured jacket with Hardass jeans:thumb2
OR Leather jacket with hardass combats:thumb2

I think that we need some recent, detailed pictures of these (tight) leathers before we can determine whether they are acceptable or not. :augie

Right back again, ah I see that it is a one piece, dont do them as not practical in my eyes.
Just want something that looks nice, is comfy and waterproof but not so bloody expensive! Why is it that anything to do with motorcycles is just that, just cause we own a beemer bike each dont mean we are of the wealthy sort cause I can assure the merchandisers that we are not, I shall continue my hunt I suppose, I know that there is something out there that will fit my budget

You can get a two piece!

Or you can go for the Darien Jacket & Trousers.

at $2 to £1 ..

You can look as good as this .. :D

Personally I don't bow to the fashion thing, at the moment during the wet/cold winter I wear textiles(picked up a cheap streetguard2, which is excellent) have worn nothing but a t shirt underneath the jacket. When the weather becomes drier/warmer I will be riding in my 2 piece leathers, wiht a rain suit under the seat.

I'm absolutely certain that leathers something like this would get almost universal approval from the GS riding fraternity......

but the poor lass would freeze her :boobies off in this weather.

I have a twat jacket and a set of hein gereke trousers, both gortex lined. Tousers were £150 and perform just as well as the bm jacket :thumb2

Aerostich products are a good deal now that our Yanqui dollar is in the toilet... wife and I favor Aerostich Roadcrafter2 suits - separate jacket and trousers for when you want a two piece, but when you zip them together, you can put the whole thing on in one go like a one piece step-in suit.

I've slid down a couple of dirt roads and one race track in Aerostich suits... quite like the protection, and the padding is very compliant but still protective.

Just one of many options available, but consider taking advantage of our economic fcukups... a cheap dollar can be your best friend:-)

Is it an economic feck up :nenau

Now imports (for you) are more expensive but your exports are becoming more attractive. That must be good for jobs?

e.g. more foreigners buying aerostich is good for the US economy? :nenua

There are some benefits to the plunging dollar, but in our largely post-industrial existance, our exports are not so tied to jobs as they used to be. The economy is being stimulated by Canadians, Europeans, and Asians (speaking geographically, not ethnically) flocking to the US to spend on consumer goods, but the factories that might have benefited by a similar surge in the fifties are long gone.

I work in the studio film industry, and while the dropping dollar has brought some production back to the US from Canada, tax incentives in Europe have kept a great deal of "Hollywood Studio" work overseas. I am lucky in that I often get to work overseas on these projects, but the vast majority of technicians in our industry are prohibited by other countries' work permit laws from travelling with these film projects.

Aerostich suits are actually cut and sewn in the USA, so overseas purchase of the suits does indeed help the economy.

Of course if the dropping dollar makes the vast armament and military hardware industry's products more attractive to overseas clients, I suppose that's a good thing:-) Folks gotta fight, I suppose, they might as well be using US munitions!
[insert irony emoticon here]

Nowt wrong at all in wearing leathers. I wear mine in summer & in winter put a HG waterproof jacket & trousers over them. As said before wear what you want. Get the cheapest waterproofs over your leathers & save a few quid :D

Nothing wrong with leathers if you're happy it's not about to persist down... Not sure I'd want to wear a one-piece race suit though...

Mate, I always wear textiles on my GS and wouldn’t be seen dead in the leather stuff (Valentino Rossi wannabes) :)

I have a Rev'it textile trousers and jacket and I can't fault them, very warm, comfy and waterproof. They don't seem that expensive compared to other makes, check them out:

Hope you find something you want to wear and that's comfy for you at the right price :aidan
