normal running temp

ive just bought my first r1200 gsa 06 plate and was wondering what the normal running temp was on it ie, how many bars on the indicator is the norm ?

I have got the 09 1200GS and at normal temp mine shows 3 bars.

IIRC mine showed 4 bars in spring / autumn on A / B roads and 5 in the summer / motorways.

Rarely got it onto 6 bars.

All six bars lit up this afternoon between Battersea and Wapping Towers. I think it wolud have done seven had it been Spinal Tap's bike.

Hotter than a hot thing when its hot, all because some gentleman from a hot country decided to rip his bumper off against an LT bus (driver from a very hot country).

The pair of them then decided to block most of the road leading north to Tower Bridge, whilst they exchange voodoo curses. The tailback and general chaos stretched back to the Elephant and Castle, made worse as Southwark and London bridges have road works. Cnuts, as I believe the lone Met police motorcyclist who arrived at the unhappy scene put it....

Pah, south of the river fiver barrer....

PS The bumper was blue, helpfully left 50 yards down the road to add a bit of colour to the otherwise drab surroundings. It also added to the general chaos.
